"ChartIQ clients will benefit from the expansive portfolio of data sets which can enrich their analytical processes."

Additionally, Apptentive (Social Leverage Fund I) was acquired by Alchemer.

Global venture funding in 2022 reached $445 billion, a 35% decline from the $681 billion invested in 2021. Despite the slower funding environment, investors spent $100 billion more than the $342 billion invested in 2020. Indications that 2021 might have been an outlier developed quickly in 2022, leaving many investors and startups struggling to match 2021's successes.

Venture and growth investors in private companies scaled back their investment pace significantly in the latter half of 2022, signaling a slower funding climate as we begin 2023.

Tech companies have been cutting jobs at a faster rate since the start of the pandemic, with over 150,000 layoffs in 2022 alone. Companies had been aggressively hiring prior to the pandemic, but are now cutting costs and implementing hiring freezes as spending on tech products slows and the outlook for digital advertising dims.

We’re terminally connected to our devices due to the dopamine hit of the internet and social media. But these digital channels are missing something. Howard suggests we stop replacing real life with social media and instead break free from being terminally online and go build products and experiences that cater to offline first with tech infused in the background.
