Quiet Quitting, Data-Driven Culture, and Breaking Down the Public & Private Markets

Employee engagement is falling, according to a survey by Gallup, with Gen Z (born 1989 and after) reporting the lowest engagement. One factor Gallop measures is whether or not employees feel their work has purpose. And the data shows younger employees don’t feel their work does. As a result, “quiet quitting” is the new norm among Gen Z professionals who are saying no to hustle culture. They’re rejecting the idea of going above and beyond in their careers and are deciding to work passively while looking out for themselves. 

The world is projected to produce 463 exabytes of data per day, and organizations will need to get a handle on sifting through those large volumes of data to be competitive. To be effective at transforming data and providing meaningful analysis will require a culture of data across the entire enterprise.
